Movement Awareness
In addition to receiving structural body work, re-educating clients to be aware of their movements is very helpful to the success and long-term benefits of therapy.
Movement awareness enables clients to support changes in their structure, reinforce new movement options, and ultimately avoid old patterns that cause discomfort and/or pain.
Movement Awareness can help with:
-Changing breathing habits
-Repetitive motion injuries
-To release jaw, back and neck tension
-Improving stability
-Improving your performance during exercise. Ex: sport, yoga, dance, etc.
The benefits of Movement Awareness sessions are endless!
Personalized sessions using elements such as breath, sensations, and gravity will be used to help the body to let go of restrictions and release areas of tension in a non-invasive and organic way.
Taken from Rolfing Movement TM, Feldenkrais, Buteyko breathing Method and different dance techniques.
