CONTINUUM MOVEMENT
Continuum Movement was developed by Emilie Conrad in the 1960’s. Is a somatic movement modality that provides a space for deep relaxation and inner self-regulation.
A gentle noninvasive approach that connects body and mind and serves as a medium for self-healing from which everyone can benefit as if receiving body work.
Whether it is a physical accident or an emotional trauma, the body’s intelligence reacts in a restricted “survival mode” blocking areas from sensation and storing patterns of tension throughout the body.
This can be experience in several ways as our mind-body inherent interconnection is always present: limited range of motion, muscle pain, body aches, limitation thoughts, inability to move forward or achieve goals, inability to cope with challenge, etc.
We used a wide variety of movements designed to encourage the circulation of the fluid system (blood, cerebrospinal fluid, lymph system, connective tissue, etc.) returning the body’s fluidity and regaining body awareness.
Some of the essential elements are: Movement and sensation as we explore the resonant capacity of sound frequencies and breath, penetrating locked tissues and accessing areas of stagnant energy.
Continuum Movement can be practice by anybody who desires to feel more connect, anybody who would like to increase their creativity and is a great option to add to any psychological process. It has the potential to become a type of spiritual practice.
Excellent option for people with very limited range of motion.
But, wouldn’t be great to start in a young age to prepare your body to feel great, supple and resilient to diminish the effects of the ageing process..?
